Peter Janssen

Peter is an animal rights activist accused of an arson attack at a slaughterhouse in the Netherlands. Peter is a pacifist and stands for equal rights for humans and animals.

At his trial in November of 2020, he stated that he had deliberately started the fire to make a protest against the slaughter of ducks and the enormous suffering that these animals have to endure inside the Duck-To Tomassen facilities.

Joseph "Joe" Dibee

Joe is an alleged member of the Earth Liberation Front and Animal Liberation Front, was arrested in Cuba in August 2018 and is now being held in Oregon. He is facing federal criminal charges in Oregon, California, and Washington related to acts of economic sabotage against a horsemeat-packing facility, an old-growth timber company, and other operations harming animals and the environment. He “disappeared” in 2005 before a federal grand jury indicted Dibee and 12 others as part of Operation Backfire, an FBI investigation into animal and earth liberation groups.

Sven van Hasselt

Extradited from the Netherlands to the UK in February 2017 for charges that could carry 14 years in prison, as part of the Blackmail 3 case with Natasha and Debbie Vincent. In July 2012 Sven and Natasha were raided and arrested in Amsterdam under a European arrest warrant. They were accused of ‘conspiracy to blackmail’ in relation to Huntingdon Life Sciences (rebranded as Envigo). HLS is Europe’s largest animal testing laboratory and is the most notorious and protested lab in history.

Nicole Kissane

Ladislav Kuc

Ladislav is an animal rights activist charged with illegal possession of arms, manufacturing of explosives, and terrorism for bombing in front of a McDonald’s on December 28, 2011 in which there were no injuries. He was arrested on January 1, 2012. Reports indicate he was traced after almost a year when the police tracked down the producer of a timer found at the crime scene and also mail communications between Ladislav and the manufacturer. During a house search police found materials related to ALF and components for another bomb.

Debbie Vincent

On May 17th 2014, Debbie was sentenced to 6 years in prison for campaigning against Huntingdon Life Sciences, Europe’s largest animal testing laboratory which kills about 500 animals every day. She was also given an Anti Social Behaviour Order which means she can be arrested if she protests against or contacts Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS) or its business partners for a further five years after her release from prison.
