Michael “Little Feather” Giron

Little Feather is from the Coastal Band of the Chumash Nation and was raised in Santa Barbara, California. He was charged with federal criminal charges arising from an October 27, 2016 arrest at Standing Rock as a water protector, and has been incarcerated without bond since March 9, 2017. If convicted of both charges, Little Feather was facing 15 years in prison. On February 8, 2018, he entered into a non-cooperating plea agreement and was sentenced in May to 36 months in prison.

Krow

Krow is an environmental and indigenous rights activist who faced charges stemming from a June 2013 Penokee Defenders protest that disrupted GTAC bore hole drilling at a mine site on the Penokee Range. On January 21, 2015 Krow was sentenced to 9 months plus 5 years of supervised release.  Krow was released on November 1, 2015.

Operation Backfire

In 2004, several separate FBI investigations into the animal rights and environmental movements were combined into Major Case #220, also called Operation Backfire. On December 7, 2005, the FBI’s “Operation Backfire” revealed its public face. That day, seven people living in four different states— Chelsea Gerlach, Darren Thurston, William Rodgers, Kendall Tankersley (Sarah Kendall Harvey), Kevin Tubbs, Daniel McGowan, and Stanislas Meyerhoff—were arrested in connection with a variety of sabotage actions.

Rebecca Rubin

Rebecca served a 5-year sentence for arson and conspiracy charges stemming from Earth Liberation Front actions that occurred between 1996 and 2001, including the arson of the Vail Ski Resort Expansion and US Forest Industries. She also participated in the liberation of horses and the arson of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Wild Horse Facilities in Litchfield, California and Burns, Oregon.

Marco Camenisch

Currently serving 8 years for the alleged murder of a Customs policeman.  This is his latest sentence from a lifelong commitment to ecological resistance movements.  In 1980, Marco was sentenced to ten years for damaging electricity pylons and transformers from nuclear power stations in Switzerland, however, he escaped prison in 1981.  In 1991, he was sentenced to 12 years for injuring the carabiniere during capture and for an attack against power lines that transported energy produced by French nuclear plants.

Justin Solondz

Justin is serving 7 years after pleading guilty to conspiracy and arson for his involvement in the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) arson of the University of Washington’s Center for Urban Horticulture in 2001 and the Romania Chevrolet dealership in Eugene, Oregon. Justin was imprisoned in China for three years prior to extradition.

Justin was released to a Halfway house on 1/12/17!

Eric McDavid

Eric McDavid is a green anarchist who was entrapped by an FBI informant and charged with a single count of conspiracy to use fire or explosives to damage corporate and government property.

After serving nearly 10 years in prison his judgment and sentencing were vacated when it became known that the FBI had failed to disclose potentially exculpatory evidence to the defense.  Eric pleaded guilty to a lesser charge that carried a 5 year maximum sentence.  He was released almost immediately.
