Cedar was arrested and charged in relation to property damage that occurred in on Locke Street in a Hamilton neighborhood being gentrified.

In the very early morning hours of April 6th, 2018 the Hamilton SWAT team broke down the door of Cedar's house, threw in a flash grenade, and entered with assault rifles drawn. Cedar was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offense (unlawful assembly while masked). Cedar was being targeted because they are a visible face to anarchist organizing in Hamilton, and because of their self-affirmed and proud anarchist politics.

Cedar speaks English, French, and Arabic and would appreciate letters in any of those languages! Letters in Arabic are especially appreciated if they accompany a translating project, since Cedar is still learning!
